Creating a textbook group

To create a textbook group, go to Dashboard → Textbook Groups → New Textbook Group. You will see a page with a form to create a textbook group similar to the image below:

Things you should know

Below are the things you need to be aware of before you create a textbook group:

• We advice you to use the name or any nickname you like to call your child as the textbook group name since it will be clearer whose textbook group it is,
• The description of the textbook group can be whatever you like,
• The search region as the name implies is the region in which the textbooks of your textbook group will be searched for. It could be the region where your child goes to school or (in the case no supplier in your region has the textbooks) any other region in Cameroon where you have someone you trust that can collect the textbooks for you,
• The section of education your child is in (English or French),
• The class your child is in,
• And finally, the textbooks that your child needs. When you add these, make sure you correctly enter the names as they are, each on a separate line (write out the name of each textbook and finish each line by pressing “Enter”). For users with mobile phones, this might seem impossible to do because of the small width of their device but it is possible. Just write the name of the textbook completely (even if it seems to take up two lines, it really takes up just one) and press the 'Enter' key. Then do the same thing for the other names.

Note: Some mobile devices have the keyboard option of sending messages using the 'Enter' key. Make sure that this option is disabled before you work on CTBN.

Once you do that, you will successfully create a textbook group and you will see a page similar to the one below:
